What’s So Special About Kelowna Real Estate?

Kelowna is one of the most stunning places to live in British Columbia. You escape the hustle of the big cities like Vancouver and Victoria. You also enjoy incredible landscapes next to the water. There really is a lot that Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley offers that other cities can’t compete with.

The city itself has a population nearing 200,000 people with a high majority living near the metropolitan area of the city. The city has existed since its official incorporation in 1905 and has rapidly grown to the size it is today. We see a high percentage of residents living here between the ages of 40-64 with ages skewing higher than elsewhere in the province. The vast majority of newcomers to the city moved here from the province while one-third of the new population comes from other parts of Canada. Kelowna’s growth rate has always eclipsed that of British Columbia as a whole

There are over 88,000 dwellings in the city, over half of them listed as single-family detached homes. The next largest majority of homes are found in apartments, row houses, or semi-attached homes. The average home here has 4 or fewer people living in the dwelling with very few families over 5 people per home. The average income of the population is a total household income of around $70,000-90,000 for the region, higher in the metropolitan areas. Although predominantly Canadian, there are many ethnicities represented here in the city. Dozens of languages are spoken in the household and many newcomers to the city have a community of people they can associate with when they arrive. Most of the residents in the city, over two-thirds as of the last census, have been 3rd-generation Canadians or greater.

What does Kelowna Real Estate offer?
