The extinct volcano, Mt. Boucherie, provides excellent hiking trails for active families or for those wishing to embrace the beautiful central view of the valley. The fertile soil allows Lakeview Heights to grow the finest vineyards for the most critically acclaimed wines in Canada and the world. With a wide selection of family-sized homes built from the 1970s to today, Lakeview Heights gives residents a front deck lake view, quick travel to city activities, immediate hiking trails, beaches, and direct access to some of the most prestigious wineries in the world with Mission Hill Winery’s daily bell ringing quietly through the valley.
Lakeview Heights provides the peace and quiet Okanagan residents enjoy with major roads being barely a buzz. Aside from wineries, most stores stay outside the neighbourhood and allow Lakeview Heights to flourish in residential possibilities with more immaculate homes being built each day.
Lakeview Heights Wineries and Activities
Lakeview Heights dedicates the region to housing and vineyards, but still has room for more activities. West Kelowna’s Wine Trail travels from the top to bottom of Boucherie Road with winery tour buses available for group travel. Quails Gate Winery has won multiple national gold and silver awards year after year, and Mission Hill Winery has received many awards including the Canadian Winery of the Year in 2013 and 2015. At noon and 5:00pm each day, the gentle chime of Mission Hill’s bell can be heard ringing throughout the valley. And those are only two of the region’s wineries.
