Farther down Lakeshore Road, locals can also enjoy St. Hubertus & Oak Bay Estate Winery with their award winning wines and close proximity to the lake. The neighbourhoods are also full of small parks and sports fields with Quichena Park providing a small waterpark beside a jungle gym and tennis court. Most shopping needs are situated down Lakeshore Road in the Lower Mission with major retailers like Save on Foods and Urban Fare, as well as many diverse restaurants and stores. For immediate shopping needs, residents can access the mini-mart just off Chute Lake Road in the Upper Mission.

Kids living in the Upper Mission and Kettle Valley will attend Chute Lake Elementary on Lark Street.
